So, what does this mean?
Our B Corp certification means that we have met high standards of accountability, transparency and social and environmental performance.
Put simply, B Corps are businesses that do things differently.
The B stands for benefit for all, which means not just our shareholders, owners and investors, but our colleagues, our talent, our community and of course the world we live in.
Profit does not have to come at the expense of people and planet, and our B Corp certification demonstrates just that.
More specifically, it means that we have used the B Corp framework to monitor, measure, and improve our impact to reach high standards across five main areas – governance, community, workers, customers and the environment.
Our B Corp profile can be found here
As a certified B Corp, we are proud to be part of a community of companies striving to be a force for good in the world.
We collaborate and innovate, we learn from our mistakes, and strive to create a more sustainable, prosperous and equitable future for all.
We are excited to join the B Corp movement, driving positive social and environmental change. While our B Corp certification is a pivotal milestone, creating positive impact is a journey of continuous improvement, and the journey doesn’t end here.
In fact, it has only just started. We are committed to embracing the journey, challenging our norms, sharing our successes and our setbacks, and raising the bar in our industry, for the good of people and our planet.
Our purpose is to empower our clients to tell stories that are impactful, entertaining and meaningful; and that have a positive impact on our community and the world around us.
Our vision is to be a bold, ambitious and ethical creative business that continues to turn heads by being ‘people first’ and that represents highly skilled clients that create quality content and tell powerful stories, while demonstrating strong values with a deep sense of purpose.
Our mission is to put talent at the heart of every decision we make while creating a collaborative team environment where our colleagues can thrive, both personally and in their careers. We are comfortable with learning from our mistakes, challenging the way we do things and are on a mission to constantly grow, improve and do better.
This means considering people, planet and community in all that we do. It also means openly and honestly sharing our setbacks as well as our wins and striving to ensure that our actions match the promises we make.
“Becoming a B Corp has been an exciting and eye-opening journey that started several years ago, and is one of constant learning, growth and positive impact. As we move forwards, prioritising people and planet will be at the forefront of our minds in our ambition to use our business as a force for good. We are proud to be part of the global B Corp movement and look forward to collaborating with other companies in the community and in our industry, to bring about change - both now and in the future.”
– Andy Varley, Founder & CEO, Insanity
Embedding sustainability at the heart of our business – we have made a legal commitment to use our business to benefit society and the environment, transforming how we think and operate for good.
Care for our colleagues – we provide extensive benefits and support for all colleagues from day one of employment, including unlimited mental health support and comprehensive medical insurance.
Transparency and accountability – we encourage everyone to speak up, whether through anonymous feedback shared via QR codes in the office or our formal whistleblowing process, which is managed by a third party. We listen with curiosity, determination and an open mind, avoiding defensiveness.
Prioritising inclusivity in our industry – we have increased our representation of diverse talent and improved the accessibility of our offices, studios and website. Our goal is to break down barriers to access in entertainment for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We partner with organisations like Shadow to Shine, and deliver employability programmes that offer hands on experience with producing, artist management and music A&R.
Practices for the good of our planet – we’ve moved to a BREEAM-rated ‘Excellent’ office and introduced policies governing our supply chains and where we buy from.
Over the next year we will:
Introduce a formal growth and training plan for every colleague in the business and review it every quarter.
Publish an Impact Statement which transparently discloses both our progress and setbacks since certifying as a B Corp.
We acknowledge that we still have a lot more to do to fully understand, celebrate and improve the diversity of our team. We will work with our team to agree objectives and KPIs, which we will publish along with our progress by the end of 2025.
