Heather Jewett is a writer and performer who has lived many creative lives. From music to comedy to screenwriting and beyond, she has a wide range of skills and talents, and brings a truly unique perspective to everything she touches.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Heather began her first career in music as the frontwoman of cult-favorite queer electro-punk band Gravy Train!!!! With the group, she released four albums, for which she wrote all the lyrics and many of the songs. After ten years of touring the world, she attended UCLA’s film school to focus on her first passion, screenwriting. She wrote several features and pilots, as well as a full-length novel, which is currently in development with Sony Pictures to be adapted as a TV series.
Heather produced and hosted a weekly standup comedy show called MOMMY that specifically showcased women, people of color, and non-binary and trans performers. When the show ended with the pandemic, Heather shifted into fiction writing and finished a book-length collection of surreal short stories about California. She currently hosts a podcast called Bimbo Summit and occasionally writes personal essays that have been featured on Gawker, The Daily Mail, and TMZ.
